This is a renowned historic mining town. There is a wealth of things to explore in and around the town. A minimum stay of at least half a day in Herberton is recommended. There is a very well stocked IGA.

- Herberton Hills Hideaway (Air B&B) – Highly recommended and central.

- Coffee at the Hardware Store Café
- Gallery Coffee Shop – on the main street with comfortable setting and good coffee.
- The Jacaranda Café – great meals and milkshakes.
